Fight Racism, Not Races
The chalk grid-lines are still visible but work appears to have ceased on the latest Kneecap-sponsored mural in Hawthorn Street. It joins the four that have been added to the facing walls, one in each of the last four years and all at the time of Féıle (see 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). The new addition likewise accompanied this year’s performance, at the Uppa Falls concert in the Falls Park on Thursday (August 6th) (BBC).

To The Future Me
Fight Racism!
In response to the rioting in east Belfast and elsewhere – see McMaster Street Remembers – various (painted) placards reading “Fight racism”, “”Ní hea” don chiníochas”, “”No” to hate”, “”Yes” to all!” were added in June to many of the murals on the International Wall, Divis Street (Visual History), including the Free Marwan mural and the remaining piece from the Painting For Palestine project – for a directory, see Looking Heaven In The Eye and (without the red ribbon), Tell My Story.
(These additions are reminiscent of the ‘Free Marian Price’ additions in 2013 – see Scaoıl Saor Marian Price in the Peter Moloney Collection.)

Stop The Genocide – Stop The Game
Here are images of signs at the Derry/Donegal border expressing support for Palestine, and calling in particular for the cancellation of the forthcoming soccer matches between Ireland and Israel.
One board (shown last, below) reads, “Fáılte go Doıre. Please boycott, rally & strike to end the genocide in Palestine. RISE for Palestine.” The group “RISE For Palestine” was founded last year (2025) in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza (Derry Journal). “RISE” stands for “Resistance Inspires Solidarity and Equality”.
The other two boards read “Stop the genocide – stop the game” and “Red card Israel – stop the game”. Ireland is due to play two games against Israel in the Nations League on September 27th and October 4th. The games will in fact be played in Hungary and Serbia, and mostly without any fans (RTÉ). The figure shown as both “war criminal” and “footballer” is Menashe Zalka, captain of Hapoel Hadera and an IDF reservist, who was seen taking part in Israeli action inside Lebanon (Al Jazeera).

We Love Israel
These stickers are on Sandy Row in south Belfast. For background, see Ulster & Israel | This Is Our Israel | אי כניעה – the general theme of these earlier entries is to present Israel as an analogy for Northern Ireland, as colonising populations that must defend themselves – with violence if necessary – from native resistance. The IDF sticker second on the pole (in the image below) is in keeping with this interpretation. The hearts with simple assertions of “we love Israel”, with hearts, suggests a level of identity that does not require justification or interpretation.
There is also – though not present here – a religious angle; see The Lion Of Judah.
For “Soldier F’ who “was just doing his job” see Stop The Witch Hunt and Our Soldiers Are Heroes along with others such as Soldier A-Z.

Justice Is The Handmaiden Of Truth
Óglach Billy McKee, Óglach Alex Murphy, Óglach Breandan [Brendan/Breandán] Hughes (The Dark)” are featured in a new D Company board on the anti-Agreement wall below the Falls Garden Of Remembrance.
In the bottom corners is the emblem of Glór Na hÓglaıgh (Fb), a new (March 2026) “revolutionary republican socialist political party”, associated with Óglaıgh Na hÉıreann and feuding with the RNU.
This board takes the place of a similar RNU board, seen in Unrepentant Republicans.
As in the previous board, Alex Murphy is included (on the left); Murphy was sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in the killing of the two Signals corporals (Wood and Howes) in 1988 (UPI). He was released in 1998 under the provisions of the Agreement and died in 2019 (Pensive Quill). (The D Company board on the International Wall (Visual History) features Kieran Nugent rather than Murphy.)

Stop The Boats
Here are two pieces of “stop the boats” graffiti from Sandy Row in south Belfast, part of on-going protests against immigration that have been going since 2023 and which resulted in rioting in June – see McMaster Street Remembers.
See previously: the same phrase in Tiger’s Bay, north Belfast, along with No Illegal Migrants | Keep Our Kids Safe | One Big Clean Up | Protect Our Children.
The graffiti in the final image reads “SAF UYM”. When placed next to “UYM” (“Ulster Young Militants”, the youth division of the UDA), the “S” in “SAF” is likely “Sandy Row” and not “Sudanese” (as in “Sudanese Armed Forces”, which have been engaged in a war with the Rapid Support Forces since 2023, destabilising the country and driving emigration to Europe (Sudanist)). The recent riots were sparked by a knife attack by a Somali emigrant on an east Belfast local. The damage seen in the third image is to the apartments next to the Sham Supermarket, which was attacked in the June riots and is seen here boarded up with corrugated metal panels (BBC).

End Criminalisation Of Irish Republicans!
“End criminalisation of Irish republicans! – RSYM.” A new ‘welcome to west Belfast’ mural is in progress on the first part of the long wall outside the Royal Victoria Hospital, replacing the MASH tag that unceremoniously blocked out a graffito in support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
For now, however, the longer part of the wall (to the right of gate) remains a message-board for anti-Agreement groups, the latest one being from the Republican Socialist Youth Movement (Fb), the youth wing of the IRSP/INLA.
“Blessed are those who hunger for justice” was discussed in December 2025.
Also visible (on the right of the image above) is a dual-language traffic sign.
